We had a really fun time photographing this small but adorable family. Our session took place at Hummingbird Springs in Donna, Texas. Selecting the location was a big part of this session. The family wanted to go to a place that had the mission style home in the background. And was glad we were able to shoot at this location. Hummingbird springs has the beautiful greenery gardens on one side and their charming house on the other. Perfect for what the clients were looking for close to home here in the RGV.
Overall the session went great! It wasn’t a hot day as usual for being around 4, that was a major bonus. They wore super cute matching clothing that made the photos look every well put together. We just had a little hiccup when Little baby Ruiz got a bit fuzzy but we trooped on. I was even able to catch a big smile from baby Ruiz!

Yesterday Sara Yanez strutted into our photo studio we have at Grindstone Coworking and demanded a portrait because she was wearing a new black dress she recently bought! She was lucky I had my camera ready to go because I had just finished documenting some events at Games of Texas in the morning. Okay maybe even if I didn’t have my camera ready I think I still would of prepared the gear. I mean just look at this portrait… isn’t she just gorgeous? When Sara and I first met I would always take portraits of her and I think its time I start that backup again!
There is something beautiful about photographing your significant other. There are so many photographers who actually never show their girlfriend or wife off and that’s a little strange to me. I try my best to show Sara off when the opportunity arises. It also helps that she is drop-dead gorgeous and has amazing style. Men I say you bring your girl to our studio and have Sara and I conduct a beauty portrait session for y’all.

When you think about life there will always be those milestones that you are extremely proud of and will forever be stored in your memory. For me that’s my time at The University of Texas at Austin. The four years I spent there were some of my happiest moment but of my toughest days. To be honest the range of emotions range from the the worst to the best.
A weekend ago I took a trip up to Austin, Texas to take some furniture to my youngest sister Veronica because she is now attending UT-Austin now. Her and I have visited together before she was an actual student but this time around we took a two-hour tour of the places I use to have class and the routes I use to take back when I was a student.
I spent the majority of the time at the Moody College of Communication building

I have put off posting this blog for a while now… Two reason; one, what do you write about when the blog is featuring your super amazing talented gorgeous girlfriend? Secondly, how do you write to to please her and your audience? What if she hates what I wrote? What if she likes it but the people who read this think it’s silly?
I will tell you this. Sara A. Yanez, is and will always be, the best thing that life has allowed me to experience. When it comes to photography, because this is a photography blog, Sara is the perfect model and the best photography assistant anyone can ask for. When it comes to music, she’s my favorite person to jam out with and only person I want to be making music for and with. When it comes to life; she’s irreplaceable.
Here are my latest but not my last portraits of Sara A. Yanez. Enjoy!

Last weekend I photographed this beauty. Lola, is the daughter of a good friend. She wanted to take her daughter’s photos for her birthday so we setup a photoshoot at her aunts private residence in Weslaco, Texas.
She wanted a dreamy type photo shoot and I think we achieved that! I love how the photos came out. Here are some of my favorite shots!

Last night we photographed Brianna Garces, the newly elected Miss Borderfest 2018. Brianna and her family attend the same church my girlfriend and I go to. So we already knew her but we only found out she won Miss Borderfest 2018 this past weekend when they made the announcement at the festival.
Brianna reached out to me because she needed some head shots for a possible modeling job with Betsey Johnson, who I here will be visiting the valley soon. Brianna models for Missy’s Modeling Studio located in McAllen, Texas. She’s also made an appearance on my blog on the V-Lashes Launch Party blog feature.
Here are some of my favorite shots from the last nights head shot session!

At the start of the year a ex-coworker reached out to me to see if I could photograph his wedding. He had recently hired me before to help document his cousins wedding, so he was familiar with my work. Well I accepted the gig and I am glad I did. It was such as special and emotional wedding. I love how intimate it was as well.
Here are some of my favorite shots from this beautiful wedding! Enjoy.
