Never have I experienced such a unique Quniceañera celebration such as Victoria’s! The party started in the party bus. The turned up the music and had a blast on their way to the McAllen Convention where we took group photos of them. The group also stopped by Ben & Jerry’s for some ice-cream and it was well deserved because it was such a hot day!
Then the best was yet to come. The ceremony and reception both took places at one of the most popular event venues in the Rio Grande Valley, the MarBel Event Center in Edinburg of Alberta Street! Victoria’s them was Enchanted Forest and that’s exactly what you got when you walked into the event center. They transformed this venue to look like something out of a Disney story.
Victoria had a beautiful inanimate ceremony inside Marbel Event Center with her parents and closest family members at her side. She was blessed and then the festivities began! Typically a Quince dances with her dad to a very beautiful sweet song but this time around Victoria and Mr. Villareal danced their hearts out to an awesome mix and then invited Mom in when the DJ played the Macarena. [A little insider: Victoria’s mom’s name is Macarena]. Then Victoria put on two beautiful performances with her court for her guest. As the party continued people danced the night away and then the party got lit as soon as the DJ let the balloons lose and the band got down with the guest!

This was one of the most fun quince portrait photo shoots we did this summer! Victoria was lovely her family was lovely and all that reflects in these photographs. My team and I were amazed by the detail of Victoria’s gown. Her makeup was flawless as well and she just did super well during the photo shoot.
We cooperatively chose the Quinta Mazatlan World Birding Center in McAllen, Texas because it offers beautiful indoor and outdoor settings that really lends itself photography. For this specific shoot we started indoors but quickly made our way outside because it was, in my opinion, the best place these photographs because nature and beauty always mix well. Here are our favorite shots from this session.

This beautiful pre-thanksgiving Quince took place at the gorgeous MarBel Banquet Hall located in Ediburg, Texas. On November 24th, Thanksgiving Day, I had a flight I had to catch to Washington D.C. When I bought my plane tickets I didn’t think anyone would actually book us a day before Thanksgiving… but you know what? I am glad they did. I enjoyed doing what I love a day before taking a six day vacation.
Matty, Brianda’s mom is a sweetheart. She put all her trust in us to capture these special moments in her daughter and I hope we are going to make her happy with the images we produced. The dominant photographer for this event was our very own Jessica Musick. I was filming the event so Jessica took initiative in documenting the whole event and I am excited to share the beautiful photos captured by Jessica. Enjoy!

This has to be one of the most creative and fun quince photo shoots I’ve done in my career. When my colleague Galindo came to me for photography services for his daughter’s quince he warned me it would be different. I shrugged it off but little did I know what I was getting myself into.
This young woman had a vision and we executed that vision. Her theme was Alice In Wonderland. She was literally having an Alice in Wonderland themed Quinceaña. She had a custom order dress, we also had amazing probs, a live bunny and a sweet location that fit the theme perfectly.
My team and I were able to create some surreal scenes and shots for Rachelle. This session really challenged our creativity and lighting skills but the hardest part was keeping track of the bunny because it was hopping all over the place.

We photographed Ms. Melanie at the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge in Alamo, Texas back in 2012. I really love this Quinceañera portrait session because of how vibrant and unique her dress was.
The color of the dress really popped with with the earthly tones of the Refuge. Five years ago we had a vision for this session and we made it happen and today I still look at these photos and smile because of how they turned out. Enjoy!
