In December a coworker asked me if I could take “traditional studio” portraits. If you have seen my work you can see I rarely do studio style work but I took on this challenge.
Monica is a beautiful bride so the images were going to turn out lovely regardless. The lighting was not an issue either but the issue, if any, was going to be in the posing. Typically in the photo shoots I conduct take place at locations with furniture and objects to help with the posing but this time around we shot at my photography studio located at The Grindstone Co Working in Edinburg. We had a gray backdrop and wood floor and that was it.
The approach I took for this traditonial studio photo shoot was to show off two things; her wedding dress and her beauty. I made sure to photograph her from every angle to show off her beautiful wedding gown. Then I also made sure to make her laugh and smile so her natural beauty would shine through the images.
So much love for this gorgeous bride! Cynthia Cameron (now Flores) thank you so much becoming my friend, being a Sister-in-Christ, and just overall trusting me to capture some of the most beautiful milestones in your life. I always tell all my clients that you have to love your photographer and us a photographers have to love our clients and I think the relationship and friendship we have built is simply based off that true love Christ has shown us.
Today is a special day for you and Baltazar and I cannot wait to how happy you two will be once the night is over. God bless you and all your family. Cynthia, my Sister-in-Christ, I love you and Baltazar and always know that I am here for you two whenever!
Enough emotional blah blahs! I wanted to share some of all time favorite shots form Cynthia’s beautiful bridal photo session at the Skipper Ranch in Encino, Texas. The first time I photographed at the Skipper Ranch was last fall as a second shooter for Photos by Adriana. It was such a beautiful country wedding and it just brought the Skipper Ranch to life as a go-to premiere outdoor wedding venue. When my beautiful bride was looking for a country style venue for her bridals the Skipper Ranch was the very first location that came to mind. I quickly called Mr. Farias to book our session and we made it happen. Ever since that wedding I knew this location would be one of my top places to visit with my clients for my sessions. The Skipper ranch had so much variety to use and I know it made Cynthia very happy. We had the opportunity to shoot indoor and outdoor for a very reasonable rate. I would highly suggest the Skipper Ranch for any type of photo session and outdoor special event.
I present to you Cynthia Cameron’s Bridal session at the Skipper Ranch in Encino, Texas.

Vanessa Reyna and her fiancé are such sweet hearts. What I really liked about them and thought was super unique was the involvement of the groom in the planning of their wedding. Ninety-nine percent of the time my main contact is the bride but for this couple, Mr. Michael took charge and was the one I spoke to. It’s cool to finally to talk to a man who was equally interested in the planning of his wedding.
At the beginning of the month, Vanessa had asked for a quote on photography for her bridal shower. The quote was created and sent out. Their budget was a little tight so they had replied and told they were going to pass on professional photography at the bridal party. I thought to myself, “I can’t let this just pass. I really like this couple and I want to serve them”. Lo and behold I sent them another offer and they accepted it. I dislike to leave my clients hanging without professional pictures at special events. As wedding photographers sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zone and serve our client and show them we really appreciate them.
