A few months ago I had the crazy idea that i wanted to shoot a full fledge wedding in 35mm film! Right around this time my friend Alexa had gotten engaged to her handsome fiancé Mateo, so I reached out to her and offered her free photography services for her wedding if she allowed me to shoot it completely in film.
Like any photography package I offer I always like to shoot engagement photos too! Today I got back the developed imaged from my rolls and the photos are beautiful! Out of 3 rolls at about 35 frames each I was able to produce around 23 gorgeous images of the couple. I shot with two cameras; my Canon AE1 and Nikon FM10 using Kodak and Fuji Film.
Here are my favorite 12 images that honestly sum the beautiful photo session of the couple!
The very amazing and talented Stephanie Rios Photography is the contracted photographer for the couple and I am just shooting for personal growth.
If you’re brave enough to have your full wedding experience captured in 35mm film please fill out our contact form.

I love this engagement session because it’s the perfect example of how I like to model my engagement photo shoots. I always tell my couples to choose at least two photo shoot locations and two outfits. The first location should be a more fancy or more formal place they can dress up for formal shots. The second locations is a place where they can have fun and dress down like a park.
This lovely couple chose the McAllen Convention Center as their formal location and Robin Park, behind Trenton View Plaza, for their fun location. The outfits they chose matched the location perfectly. Here are my favorite shots from this photo shoot!

A few weeks back I took these beautiful engagement photos of Bobby and Priscilla at the gorgeous Casa Poloina located in Weslaco, Texas. The couple are getting married soon and wanted to take some beautiful couples but also includes their handsome son. I love how bold their outfits choices where.
We chose Casa Polonia because of the beautiful indoor and outdoor settings it has to offer. The couple fit right in because they have such great style. I was also surprised by how helpful the owner was. Once we got there Mike, the owner, helped with their son and carried him while we shot the couple. Later on in the shoot we added their son to the photos and I also love how sweet those came out! The couple got a engagement-family photo session infusion photo shoot. Here are my favorite photos from this session!

The Old Hidalgo Pumphouse in Hidalgo, Texas is one of my favorite spots to shoot at because it’s so diverse in landscape and it’s very affordable as well. Those very reason’s is why we chose to take Emily & Pj’s Engagement photos there. This couple got in contact with me through a good friend, Ms. Georgette Rojas, who’s been friend with them for a very very long time through their parents. Georgette and her Dad have actually done a few photo shoots with me.
We took the couple around the whole venue taking beautiful shots of them around the building and the greenery. I really loved the outfit they had on because it was “fancy” yet casual enough to blend in with the rustic-ness of the Old Hidalgo Pumphouse. Here are some of my favorite shots from this engagement photo shoot.

This engagement session was definitely one of my all time favorite photo shoots! Coffee, board games, good looking couple and fun locations to photograph at always make for an amazing time! Britny and Ignacio had a vision for their photos and I really hope I was able to capture it. The fact that we started the photo shoot at OUR favorite coffee shop, Grind Coffee Co, was definitely start to a great day! Here are some of my favorite moments from this engagement photo shoot!

I will never forget the day I met Armando and Laura because they came into my office with such excitement. Honestly, the treatment was celebrity-like and it made my heart super happy.
These junior high sweet hearts requested a special engagement session. Because they met at work and are so passionate about their careers, we felt we just had to plan the session on their school campus to express their story further.
The one question I always ask my couples before planning an engagement photo session is, “Where did you both meet?” I ask because sometimes taking them back to that specific location will rekindle special memories giving them confidence and tranquility. In the end, the result is more memorable and natural photos.
In this photo session Armando and Laura flirted on the school library floor, posed under the infamous school clock (that always reminded us of being five minutes late to class), and ran through the hallways hand-in-hand. We then we kicked it up a notch and took some more personal/intimate photos in each of their classrooms.
I present to you this very special and unique engagement session.
