To be married for 25 years is such a blessing. I hope to one day be celebrating such long lasting love in the future with the one I love. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Salinas for such a beautiful marriage and blessings to your wonderful family.
Thank you for contacting me once again for documenting a huge milestone in your life. Previously Mr. & Mrs. Salinas hired me to photograph their daughters graduation photos back in 2011 and as well as provide a photo booth at her graduation party. This past week i photographed her 2016 graduation at one of my favorite places in the valley, Memory Lane Photo Spot and as you can see we also took Mr. & Mrs. Salinas’ anniversary photos.

Photographing children is not my speciality but I can and will, especially when it comes to to my longterm clients like the Wheats. This photoshoot was on familiar grounds and with familiar faces so it was special. A few years back I photographed a wedding in the same house that I photographed baby Matthew.
Elvia Susana Prieto-Wheat, mother of Matthew, is the sister-in-law of John and Susan Wheat, my bridal client from 2013. It was funny because I had no idea it was going to be the same family. As a business owner you always have a million things going through your mind daily and even on a day leading up to a shoot you tend to forget where you are going and what you are going to shoot until you get there. As soon as I arrived at the location in Edinburg, Texas all my memories from Susan’s wedding were activated and Elvia’s face also became familiar. The face I didn’t recognize was baby Matthew’s. He was the newest addition to the Wheat family and was about to become the newest addition to his church.
Matthew was scheduled to be baptized a few hours after his photo shoot. Congratulations Elvia and Wheat family on your newest addition and Matthew’s baptismal. Blessings!

My connections to this beautiful family is through one of my very best friends Noehmi Lopez! This is her youngest sister and family! It was a challenge and pleasure to work with them. Photographing children is always a challenge but the results are always pleasing to the soul.

Here’s a funny story. Around the time this family was booking my brand to photograph their family photos I was without a phone so my assistant Rocio was handling the majority of my client communication. For this particular photo session I had asked Rocio to just let the clients know that I would be at the Edinburg City Hall at 4:00 p.m. I got there about 5-10mins before the photo session to setup up my equipment and this car pulls up to the parking lot and some mariachi’s and folklorico dancers beginning to get out of the car. Little did I know this was the family I would be photographing. It wasn’t until the mother came up to me and greeted me.
How beautiful is that? So colorful and lively. This was definitely an experience. The whole family in unison under one theme. God is awesome! My job is never dull. I present to you the Ortiz Family.

Today I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous family! God always send me the best looking families to work with. I loved their dynamic!
Funny story. Morielle Junise had been trying to get me to photograph her for over a year or two now and finally we had the chance to work together. Hence why I threw in that lovely head shot of her. She just looks so stunning!
I am very great Moriella you contracted me to photograph your family. You and your sister are so awesome and your parents are just too funny! I wish many blessings upon you guys and may God bless you abundantly!
Special thanks to Sara Yanez.

The Vela family was so heart warming to photograph! The dynamic between the family was beautiful. I remember editing the photos and just feeling in such a happy mood because of how awesome the experience is. You could tell Mom & Dad were extremely happy to have their beautiful children at their side. I am glad I got to capture these images because it froze a moment in time that will forever be cherished by this family.

Memories are beautiful and that is why I love being a photographer. The opportunity God has given me to freeze a special moment in time that will forever be passed down in generations is just beyond me.
At the end of May I had the pleasure of photographing Roonie and her growing family. We went out to the Hidalgo Pump House in Hidalgo, Texas. Roonie wanted a country-green-rustic setting and that beautiful location lent itself well to what she was looking for.
As hot and humid as it was we had a great time and captured some precious moments of her girls and her deputy. Her little girl is so animated and just made the photoshoot much more fun. I know these images will forever be special for mama bear. Thank you Ronnie Sada for allowing me to photograph you and your family.
Special thanks to Veronica Briones for assisting.

Happy mother’s day to this beautiful Mom. She has to be one of the proudest mothers today! There is nothing more important than for a mother to see her children seeking The Lord. God’s greatest gift to a mother is her children and I was blessed today with the opportunity to photograph this special day for the Lucio family!
These two young men have amazing parents. Just from the few hours I spent with them I could see how well they are being raised. And after the first couple of shots of the family I felt the bond they share, the love that flows through them, and the spirit of God all over this family.
On this beautiful Sunday afternoon I present to you the Lucio Family!

To my beloved client the Kelley Family,
It has been such a pleasure to be your wedding photographer and now your family photographer. I still remember your beautiful baby girl from your wedding night and now look at her. She’s precious and so smart. Mandy, you are just getting prettier with time and we cannot forget about Mr. Shawn; he is a true gentleman!
Remembering this photo session brings so much joy to my heart. I felt at home and I truly had a nice time spending with your growing family. As I mentioned before, it is an honor to serve your family as a photographer. Thank you so much for trusting me, for believing in my brand and for feeding me! There is not really much more I can say but that I love you guys!
Sincerely,
Ben Briones

Although I do not niche in family portraits I still love to photograph families because it matters. It matters to them and it matters to me. Today I am featuring my latest family portrait session of the Leos family.
I met Mr. Andy Leos at a Holy Ghost revival at a church he pastors about a year ago. Pastor Leos is a family man, an active outdoorsmen, and most importantly a man of God. When he asked me capture some beautiful summer moments with his wife and daughters, I said yes.
Because of my highly active lifestyle I do not spend enough time with my family but when we get together it’s such a blessing. So when I’m asked to photograph a family I take the job seriously. I knew these images really mattered to Mr. Leos when he requested a special photo to be done of him fishing with his two beautiful daughters.
Family photo sessions evoke such an intimate setting. I really loved the way Virgina, the mother, kept the family in check. Their daughters were somewhat shy but you could tell the bond between the two just by looking at how tight they held each other’s hands. You know and most of the time it is the father who is not into the session but I was surprised as to how much Mr. Leos enjoyed the photo session. That only tells me one thing, family matters to him.

Yesterday I photographed this lovely family in Forth Worth, Texas. What caught my attention while editing these photos was how it took me back to images my parents have of me when I was a one-years-old. Watching Jackson as he played and took in all that was happening around him made me happy, it made extremely happy! The way a one-year-old observes the world is phenomenal. Jackson took us through different emotions during the one hour session at the park. He cried, he laughed, he made angry faces at me, and few times he looked confuse, but most importantly he was extremely alert. Jackson’s curiosity is what made this photo session so natural and fun. I kept telling Linda, his mom, that I absolutely loved that we ‘let him be’ because it’s what made the session flow so well. As you can see in the photos, Jackson dominates the energy and his parents follow, and that is very important when photographing a family with a young child. If the child is happy, then mom and dad are happy. Mom and dad will remember these special moments because they let their kid be a kid.
