Another great photo session shot on our Fujifilm XT3 and XH1 for this young ladies quince. Shooting with a new camera is always challenging but with the experience I have it’s been fun learning a whole new system and it makes you feel great seeing results like these.
We shot these portraits at a private residents in Sharyland, Texas. The quince was great to work with, she was very open to our ideas and use of the home. We used a mix of ambient light and studio light. What I love about the my Fujifilm XH1 is I get to use my old school Canon FD and Nikon G lenses on the body with an adapter. Check out some of our favorite shots from this session.

Having a Quinceañera is super special for a young woman and the parents. I met Adalie when her father brought her to my studio for her formal portrait session. Her photos turned out so beautiful in her portraits with her blue dress. It was no surprise that the result of her photos from her Quinceañera would be any different.
Here are our favorite photos from documenting a special evening of symbolic traditions, dancing, and fun moments of Adalie celebrating her 15th birthday with her family and friends.

Remember that good looking couple from the San Antonio Missions Engagement Session? Well they tied the knot on December 26, 2016. Yes, this blog is totally well overdue but it’s finally coming to light. I love this couple because they loved Jessica and I. They showed us genuine excitement for us to capture such beautiful moments of their lives. Thank you Elizabeth and Eleazar for trusting us. Here are my favorite shots from this wedding.

There’s this cute little wedding venue in Mission, Texas named The Loretto Bristo and it’s kind of a big deal. I have had the pleasure of photographing two weddings there and both have produced beautiful wedding photos and it’s all thanks to the ascetics of the location. I was also equipped with one of the best shooters in town, Steph Rios, who also took the couples engagement photos a few months before the wedding.
The Loretto Bristo has an airy vintage type of feel with a mixture of summer-time-fun! It’s well lit from the inside and pretty spacious for a small to mid-size event. The couples I photographed at this venue have both got married out back in their beautiful lush green courtyard.
Dominique and Gilbert couldn’t have chosen a better venue. The couple who is also good looking fit right in at the venue. What I loved most about this wedding was the amount of love in the air and how quaint it was. Desiree, the brides sister, recommended me to her and I am very thankful because Dominique was such a fun and sweet bride. The couple completely trusted my shooting partner and I to capture this love story and that we did. Enjoy.

The Loretto at Mission has become another one of our favorite venues to photograph and wedding. Let me tell you why! Let’s take this beautiful couples’ event. Sara and Isidro tied the knot at this stylish bristro / coffee shop / event venue about a year ago and the photos are still ever so relevant because The Lorretto just has a timeless feel.
Sara got ready in their bridal room which has big windows that lets in beautiful light. The walls and decor have such soft ones, which made Sara’s dress look amazing. The groom got ready in the common area and even then it looked like a 5-star hotel room.
There is very little decor you have to do if you are getting married at this venue. Sara and Isidro had vintage aesthetic for their wedding theme. The theme fit in perfectly with the existing decor. What I speak of is the dinner area that also served as the reception area for the wedding.
Now the garden where the ceremony took place was lushes and green. The couple married under a pergola that had vines running up it. The guest witnessed the wedding from the grass on chic white chairs. And when the couple had walked down the isle as man and wife we used the exact same spot for their formal photos and they turned out great.
If you are interested in finding out more about this lovely venue you can visit The Lorretto at Mission at 1233 E Griffin Pkwy, Mission, TX 78572 or call ahead of time to get a tour 956-600-7208.

A few weeks ago we photographed and watched Alondra Alanis enter womanhood in most glamorous fashion, a Quince. Her loving family gathered at the Corinthians dressed elegantly ready for a bittersweet night. Alondra, daughter of loving mother Jaine, was dressed in a two piece pink gown that was custom made by Rosie Coronado. The beautiful gown transformed into a gorgeous dance outfit as Alondra and her dance team busted a move making the highlight of the night a memorable one. The happy spirit in the air was accompanied by a two live bands and excellent service by the Corinthians. And how can we forget the candy bar that was enjoyed by not only children but adults who gave a quick look around and they scooped up a few pink themed candies. The gifts, the outfits, the atmosphere all remind us that no matter the amount of events we cover, each is as unique and beautiful as the family. We wish you well Alondra, and telling from the love that resonated from your parents, you are in good hands.

This wedding was my last wedding of 2014 and my first of 2015. Stacie and Jordan married on the brink of the New Years Eve and we were right there to celebrate with them. Rain or shine our job is to document life changing events in your life, and I can promise you it is worth having these types of memories around to pass on for generations.
Stacie is now living in Alaska with her husband, so for you complaining about this January cold weather we are facing here in the Rio Grande Valley, think of my bride! This girl is such a sweet gentle person. Her parents are amazing as well! Everyone that we encountered at this wedding were just beautiful people. It was cold and rainy on this wedding day but that didn’t stop anything from coming together. In my opinion, everything went flawless.
It’s not everyday a bride marries the man of her life on New Years Eve, whom is a honorable serviceman, and then moves to Alaska. Stacie and Jordan, this was truly a movie-like love story and I am grateful to have been a part of it.

Laura and Armando are my super-star couple! The reason I say this is because when they first met me at my office they treated me as though I was some kind of celebrity! To be honest it felt good…I was being appreciated for my work and my brand but I didn’t let that go to my head. These two have been so good to me and so trusting in my ability that I had to stay up tonight and write this blog.
Let me tell you! That Laura, she’s a handful but I love her to pieces! Her personality is so contagious and makes me extremely happy. Armando is such a sweet and cool guy! The guy is laid back and so creative. Before the wedding we took their engagement sessions at the middle school campus where they met and fell in love. Now that says a lot about this happy couple!
Today Laura and Armando finally sealed the deal and turned a new chapter in their lives. Today I told that story with my teammates Bobby and Stephanie who were such an amazing help. I cannot thank them enough! I present to you Mr. & Mrs. Armando Sierra!
