Another great photo session shot on our Fujifilm XT3 and XH1 for this young ladies quince. Shooting with a new camera is always challenging but with the experience I have it’s been fun learning a whole new system and it makes you feel great seeing results like these.
We shot these portraits at a private residents in Sharyland, Texas. The quince was great to work with, she was very open to our ideas and use of the home. We used a mix of ambient light and studio light. What I love about the my Fujifilm XH1 is I get to use my old school Canon FD and Nikon G lenses on the body with an adapter. Check out some of our favorite shots from this session.

Super excited to share our very first quince portrait session of 2020. We shot these photos are one of our favorite locations; Casa Polonia, located in Weslaco, Texas. When Zarah’s mom described her dress to me I knew that Casa Polina would be the perfect location to photographer her. Marlene (mom) is a returning client. We photographed her engagement photos and wedding day and I am very grateful that she thought about us again to capture this milestone for her family. These are my favorite photos from this Quince Portrait Session at Casa Polonia in Weslaco, Texas.

Every girl will go through this stage in her life where she transitions from a young woman to an adult. I believe God has given this young lady a spotlight in this world. If my photographs could tell her story, this is what they would say: “Her dress is uniquely tailored for her, her headpiece gently wrapped around her as if it were a crown because she is royalty in God’s eyes. She walked in grace on the tips of her dance shoes needing not fancy sparkly heals, she stood tall on her own.”
As a photographic storyteller I present chapter 15 of Alondra Alaniz’s life.
