Sara and I rented the Fujifilm XT-3 to test it out because we are thinking of buying ourselves a pair. Our first test was with a one light setup with a beauty dish on a pink seamless. Everything was shot in JPEG and we did very minimal editing or none at all one some of the shots.
I had to adjust the camera setting a bit before we starting getting good results. I had to remove the eyepiece live view because I wasn’t able to see the shot because high aperture kept the view dark. I was also having trouble with the focus. I couldn’t tell if the shots were in focus so I setup the eye autofocus to help me. The the last thing I adjusted was the touch screen so I can zoom into the shot and check the sharpness. Those were the only 3 things that I had issues at first before figuring out how to fix them. Great camera for studio photography.

On January 15, 2019, one day before her birthday, I surprised my beautiful girlfriend with a photo shoot at the Wallflower RGV located off Trenton in McAllen, Texas. I had been following the Wallflower RGV for a long time now on Instagram and would chat with the owner here and there. I am super happy I was able to rent this place for Sara’s photo shoot because the photos came out absolutely beautiful.
We rented the spot for one hour and I took plenty of shots but the ones you see here are my favorite shots. The Wallflower RGV has a lot to work with, they have over 10 looks or backdrops you can create great photos with. I highly encourage you to check this place out before it’s gone, as I believe it’s a pop-up studio and won’t be around forever.

If you haven’t heard of Jeannette Garcia you truly need to! She is a beautiful singer and musician out of Edinburg, Texas. Today she shared that one of her favorite artist Russ liked and retweeted her acoustic cover of his song Ride Slow.
Jeanette stopped by my photo studio in Edinburg to take some fun promo-like musician portraits and I am extremely happy on how the portraits came out. We used a warm tone for the background because her image is a bit more edgy and rock-star that I wanted her to be the main subject. I had her pose with her guitar in different ways to show the love between the two.
I am super excited to share these beautiful portraits of Jeannette Garcia and even more excited to share the video that was retweeted by Russ listed below the images. My photo studio is located in heart of Edinburg, Texas at the Grindstone Coworking at 506 W. University Drive Edinburg, TX 78539.
