This beautiful pre-thanksgiving Quince took place at the gorgeous MarBel Banquet Hall located in Ediburg, Texas. On November 24th, Thanksgiving Day, I had a flight I had to catch to Washington D.C. When I bought my plane tickets I didn’t think anyone would actually book us a day before Thanksgiving… but you know what? I am glad they did. I enjoyed doing what I love a day before taking a six day vacation.
Matty, Brianda’s mom is a sweetheart. She put all her trust in us to capture these special moments in her daughter and I hope we are going to make her happy with the images we produced. The dominant photographer for this event was our very own Jessica Musick. I was filming the event so Jessica took initiative in documenting the whole event and I am excited to share the beautiful photos captured by Jessica. Enjoy!

Local Graphic Designer, Social Media Strategist, Photographer and creative Calligrapher, Maripili Menchaca was my go to person for this special project. When my client asked if I could provide photos from our Quinceañera session to create ninety plus unique party favors on 3-inch round wood pieces for their actual event to give away to their guests, I turned to Maripili. I had seen her work previously in her Instagram account and her Etsy shop “Charmingly Created“, and her style of work was perfect for this project.
The photography part for this project was easy for me to complete, but adding the message to the pieces was where I knew I needed help. Maripili was kind enough to make several samples for my client to see and choose from. The finished project turned out to be great and my client loved it! I highly recommend Maripili for any creative services. You can find her work at the links below:

Today we are joining this beautiful young lady in celebrating her fifteen birthday! Congratulations Karissa! Thank you for trusting us to capture these beautiful portraits of you to document this special milestone in your life. Sara and I had a lot of fun hanging out with you at the McAllen Convention Center and taking these great photos of you.

This has to be one of the most creative and fun quince photo shoots I’ve done in my career. When my colleague Galindo came to me for photography services for his daughter’s quince he warned me it would be different. I shrugged it off but little did I know what I was getting myself into.
This young woman had a vision and we executed that vision. Her theme was Alice In Wonderland. She was literally having an Alice in Wonderland themed Quinceaña. She had a custom order dress, we also had amazing probs, a live bunny and a sweet location that fit the theme perfectly.
My team and I were able to create some surreal scenes and shots for Rachelle. This session really challenged our creativity and lighting skills but the hardest part was keeping track of the bunny because it was hopping all over the place.

We photographed Ms. Melanie at the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge in Alamo, Texas back in 2012. I really love this Quinceañera portrait session because of how vibrant and unique her dress was.
The color of the dress really popped with with the earthly tones of the Refuge. Five years ago we had a vision for this session and we made it happen and today I still look at these photos and smile because of how they turned out. Enjoy!

It has been such a pleasure working with the Alanis family. This Sweet 16 was such a beautiful event I really don’t understand why I didn’t show it sooner on my blog. This event took place in September 2015. I honestly thought I had a draft ready to post but here I am writing one from scratch, which I don’t mind.
The event took place at the Corinthian Banquet & Event Center located in 1516 E. US. Expressway 83.Suite A Mission TX. 78572. I have done many events at the Corinthian but never one that looks this fabulous. The red just popped and brought the whole place to life. The color pallet was very elegant.
My studio provided the photo session, event photos and event video for Ms. Brianna, which can be seen at the following links:

This session was definitely a special one. Thank you Ortiz family for allowing me in your life and trusting my brand to capture these beautiful pictures of Jackie Ortiz in celebration of her 15th birthday!
The location that was chosen for the portraits and event is a beautiful outdoor venue named Hacienda Paraiso in Weslaco, Texas. Jackie’s dress alone had so much pop! I honestly really happy with these results because I felt like it flowed so smoothly. And the fact you allowed me to be as creative as I wanted really added to these beautiful images.

I once went through a phase where I would tell people I only shot weddings but you know what? Screw that! I am a photographer; plain and simple! My job is to serve my community, my clients and my God through this special gift. This quineañera has inspired me to rekindle that love for that In-The-Moment-Photojournalism style that makes my brand Ben Briones Studios stand out! Carol and Destiny, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reminding me and inspiring me that special days like this one is the sole purpose why I love photography.
Let me tell you a little bit about this beautiful family. Carol, the mom, is so animated and loving. There is never a dull moment with her. Her husband (a.k.a. Chubby) as hard as he looks, he is such a sweet-heart. Carol and Chubby have two younger girls and a boy who are so lovable as well, but Destiny Love Peña is something special in her own way (as I’m sure her other siblings are special at their own rights). Destiny has her mother’s beauty. When she speaks, you can tell this 15-year old is extremely smart. Actually, she’s an all A student and is currently attending South Texas College. Her parents have done such a beautiful job raising this young lady and on December 6, 2014 they celebrated her entry into womanhood.
Destiny’s quince was extremely fun and elegant. From the thumping beats that blasted, her party bus, to the last family portrait, I can truly say my team and I really enjoyed ourselves. The family rented one of my all time favorite venue’s, D’Gala in McAllen, Texas. Destiny’s dress was amazing and uniquely made just for her. She glowed all night. Loved ones and friends filled the beautifully decorated venue with laughter, dancing and affection for the quince. Destiny Love Peña, thank you for inspiring me and trusting me to capture such a memorable time in your life. Love you Carol, Destiny and family. Enjoy!
Special thanks to Imanol Miranda and Ramiro Galvan.
Giving back is extremely important for me and my brand. This past weekend I photographed a quinceanera for a special girl. Make-A-Wish Rio Grande Valley put together a fifteenth-birthday-celebration for Messalinda Anzaldua. Mind you, I did not know this young lady and when Ava Sandlin, the executive director of Make-A-Wish Rio Grande Valley, reached out to me a about this event, I automatically said YES.
I am extremely blessed to be able to donate my services to such a awesome foundation. This is what I live for! Special events like these are the sole reason God has given me this ability to share with his people. I have been called to collect memories, capture life and provide a recollection a moment in time that can always be repeated through photography. Messalinda Anzaldua, I don’t know you but from the photographs we took that night I saw how beautiful your life is and how many people love you.
Special thanks to Felicia Sepulveda of Shutterbelle Photography volunteering her time and helping.
