Today we had an amazing head shot photo session at my studio with the intelligent and beautiful Sara Montoya-Hernndez. Sara is in charge of the marketing department for the McAllen Public Library and was recently asked if she could be a panelist at a Social Media Summit in November being hosted by the Mission EDC.
I was also Sara’s wedding photographer a year ago when she married at the beautiful bistro named The Loretta at Mission. It’s always a great feeling having past clients come back to you for new work. It’s about the trust. Here are my favorite shots from the shoot!

Only eight years old and this little guy is a rising star with a big voice! Diego Bazan is a vocal student in Sara Yanez Music Studio in Edinburg, Texas. He is passionate about singing Mariachi music and Música Regional.
Before his photo shoot, we spoke to his mother and told her to choose two outfits for his session. He wore his Mariachi suit and looked like a very handsome Charro. If there was one thing that stood out to me when working with Diego, it was his expression. I was very happy with the way his portraits turned out.
These are my favorite shots from Diego’s portrait session.

Photography and law one time collided in thought. A year or two ago I had the crazy idea of dropping photography to purse a law degree. Obviously, the photography career won but I still dream about becoming a lawyer one day and although it’s a far-off thought I still get to mix the both.
Today we photograph lawyers and I am okay with that. My relationship with the law community has been through the The Hidalgo County Bar Association, which I have had the pleasure of capturing their annual event.
This month we photographed O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, a law firm located at 220 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg. I really love how the photos came out for these professionals. We had a simple two light setup with a dark gray portable backdrop. We used a warm tone gel to change the background color as per the clients request. Everyone was super positive and professional and it really reflects in their portraits.
