I first met Joanna and Wilson at a Weslaco, Texas Starbucks late on a Wednesday night. It was the only time they could meet before they had to fly back to New York. The meeting was quite long because we just got along so well. The best device in business is trust and that is what we were building coffee in hand.
Trust then becomes a photographers best arsenal. To have someone and their family trust you to document one of their most important moments in their lives is such a privilege. Joanna and Wilson are both so sweet. Since the couple lives in New York, our communication was restricted to email and text, but when the big day finally arrived it was as if we had spent a lot of time together. My team and I felt very comfortable with these special clients.
Wilson patrols the bay as a National Guard and Joanna beautifies and enlightens women as a professional makeup artist. The couple had a traditional wedding at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen, Texas. Soon after the celebration continued at one of my favorite wedding venues, the Valencia Event Center in Pharr, Texas. This is were all the fun and love collided spread like wildfire and created art or what we call wedding photography.

This lovely couple is #goals! Gio and Monica make such a great team together! Each have their passions but both are unified with each other in love! I took these images a while back at the famous Memory Lane Photo Spot in Mission, Texas.
We first started the shoot with the couple in their formal wear. The couple wore strong bold colors that reflected their bold love and passions. Then after a while it got real! Gio changed into his Jiu-Jitsu Gi and and Monica changed into a cute dress and her roller skates. Gio teaches at Modern Jiu-jitsu in McAllen, Texas and Monica is part of a roller derby team called the RGV Bandidas.
I really enjoyed this photo shoot with this couple. There was never a dull moment! See for yourself! Enjoy!

I love documenting intimate weddings. In July on a Tuesday afternoon I witnessed Sally and Wayne exchange their vowels in front of the their loved ones. This wedding took place at The Elegant Wedding Chapel operated by The Wedding Gal, Mrs. Terry Perez.
Every one has a love story and this is Sally and Wayne’s through my lens.
The Elegant Wedding Chapel is such a quant beautiful unique location located in the heart of McAllen. Mr. Wayne, the groom, looked very handsome and his beautiful bride, Sally, looked stunning her wedding dress as she awaited to be walked down the isle by her son. The people who really mattered to the couple occupied the first and second sections of the chapel chairs smiling and glaring at their loved ones as they tied the knot. After the couple shared some bubbly and ate some cake with family and friends.

One evening I got a call from one of my clients. I thought maybe he had question about his wedding package he and his fiancé had booked with me. No, he told me he had secretly took his fiancé’s engagement ring because he wanted to upgrade it and re-propose to her.
Now if you know Baltazar you know that he’s a big jokester and has this specific laugh when you know he’s up to no good. That laugh was what followed by his idea in our phone call. I was so down to help him with this idea. So we set a meeting at a local Starbucks and planned out the idea.
After brain storming we decided to do this re-proposal as so. Before anything he was going to provide me with images from every year they have been together so that I can print 4×6 size prints and fame them. I was to attach that frame to a baby blue balloon, where I would lay them out in order at a park but lets layout how it went down.
First, Batlazar was to book a reservation at SALT American Table in McAllen, Texas for him and his Cynthia for her birthday. According to them it almost didn’t happen but Balthazar convinced Cynthia to take a break from studying and enjoy a night out. Next, while they were enjoying dinner I setup the pictures and balloons at park. The plan was for them to get there and the balloons would lead to a bridge where a musician (Sara Yanez) was hidden under and would come out to perform Cynthia’s favorite song.
We setup up 3 hidden video camera and two photographers to capture images as well. As the couple walked up the bridge one more balloon would be released from the bottom to grab the attention of Cynthia so she can look down and see the Musican perform for them. And that’s where Baltazar would propose to her once more with now an upgrade ring.

Celina and Mario are such sweat hearts! One of the best couples to work with. They were very trusting in my creative direction and very patient with my ever crazy unorganized business but nonetheless we got work done.
As I was looking over these images to edit them I noticed one thing that stuck out. During this couples first dance, both Celina and Mario never took their eyes off each other. It was such a special moment.
This beautiful wedding took place at Palm Valley Church in Mission, Texas where they had a beautiful ceremony will filled with family and friends. Next, we took over Memory Lane Photo Spot for the formal portraits. And finally they ended the night in elegant celebration at Cimarron Country Club in Sharyland, Texas.
Enjoy this story captured for our special couple.

Another 2012 treasure being released just for you! I really want to go on this rampage of release some of my old work even if it’s not good. Maybe my work was better back then and I need to post these so I can get back on my game? I will let you all be the judge of that!
This bridal photo session was taken at he Quinta Mazatlan World Birding Center. For this session I remember I really tried to use a lot more of the inside and have fun with the lighting. The bride is gorgeous so it was super easy to pose her in any location of the facility. Super props to my best friend Daniela “aka Weta”, who assisted me with this bridal session.
One thing about my photography or my business is that I never fail to give kudos to my support system which includes hired assistance, friends, family or the client themselves. Thank you Jessica Marie Berrones for trusting me to capture these special moments in your life. Many blessings for your marriage and family.

Excellent photographer. Very professional yet down-to- earth 🙂 Came very highly recommended and will definitely look forward to booking future photoshoots in the future.
This sweet couple are such dolls and I mean that in all honesty. They are such a good looking couple. We had a blast doing this photo session. Miriam is the younger sister to one of the my brides, Melody Rios Contreras. Beauty does run in the family. I have photographed Melody, their parents and now these two love birds. One of my favorite things as a photographer is becoming a “family photographer”. In the photography industry that is goal worth working hard towards.
The photo shoot took place at one of my favorite places; Memory Lane Photo Spot in Mission, Texas. It’s a beautiful 100 year old home that has an old country style setting with a variety of sections to capture different type of unique photos. I really love the simplicity of their outfits. The touch of the red heart shaped balloons was super cute as well. Even though I may not be their wedding photographer I still feel blessed to have documented this milestone.

Photographing children is not my speciality but I can and will, especially when it comes to to my longterm clients like the Wheats. This photoshoot was on familiar grounds and with familiar faces so it was special. A few years back I photographed a wedding in the same house that I photographed baby Matthew.
Elvia Susana Prieto-Wheat, mother of Matthew, is the sister-in-law of John and Susan Wheat, my bridal client from 2013. It was funny because I had no idea it was going to be the same family. As a business owner you always have a million things going through your mind daily and even on a day leading up to a shoot you tend to forget where you are going and what you are going to shoot until you get there. As soon as I arrived at the location in Edinburg, Texas all my memories from Susan’s wedding were activated and Elvia’s face also became familiar. The face I didn’t recognize was baby Matthew’s. He was the newest addition to the Wheat family and was about to become the newest addition to his church.
Matthew was scheduled to be baptized a few hours after his photo shoot. Congratulations Elvia and Wheat family on your newest addition and Matthew’s baptismal. Blessings!

Celina’s bridal shower was delightful! It took place at The Club at Cimarron in Mission – Sharyland area. The part was a breakfast / brunch event with very good food. The house was packed with family and friends excited for Celina and Mario’s wedding. I found myself enjoying myself very much documenting this special event.
The event was fun filled with games and lots of laughs. The whole party was planned and orchestrated by Celina’s wonderful sister. And as you can see from the photos it was such a beautiful turn out. I am more than excited for this wedding to come already!
